This new work explores in detailed color, the complex subject of Allgemeine and Waffen-SS uniforms, insignia, and accoutrements. Hundreds of authentic items are extensively photographed in close-up to enable the reader to exam- ine and study. These items were amassed over a number of years from many noted collections. Included are: uniforms, cloth and metal insignia, beadgear, field equipment, firearms, edged weapons, documents, regalia, children's toys, and an overview of medals and decorations. This book provides a rare opportunity to view a broad array of period pieces in detail. The majority of black and white photo- graphs are from private albums and have never been published.
