KAN YASUDA: TOUCHING THE TIME

Touching Time is the title chosen by the artist for the exhibition in Rome that sees the sculptures in dialogue with the imposing spaces of Mercati di Traiano, a place where everything looks extraordinary, evocative and timeless. As time has accumulated, events have been buried underground in darkness and sediment has been left between the layers of memory. The fragments have been preserved in secret with their unlimited potential and internal energy. The latent energy of the sculpture echoes that of the installation site, nourishing and sublimating together. The space becomes a magnetic field and the energy of the place awakens from the long sleep. Those who see and touch my sculptures, without stopping at the appearance, will feel the flow of time. You will hear around you the resonant but silent voices that emerge from the depths of the place. As if you were touching the accumulation of past times that materializes in the present.
